Join the Real Burger of Earth Day trade promotion. Every April, eaters, chefs, farmers, and butchers alike come together to celebrate 100% grassfed meat, highlighting the benefits for the planet, for the farmer, and for your tastebuds. You might even win a brand new grill! Keep reading to learn more and to sign up (it's FREE!)

This trade promotion was created as an initiative of GMP in collaboration with The Grassfed Alliance. Producing authentic grassfed meat and dairy requires a regenerative approach, in which animals maintain a 100% grass-or forage-based diet for their entire lives, every season of every year. This three-week promotion provides participants with a comprehensive toolkit that is easy to customize and share. Participants are empowered with the assets they need to elevate consumer awareness in unison, and across multiple channels with the goal of selling more grassfed meat.
 

How to Participate in our Real Burger of Earth Day Trade Promotion

If you are a farmer, rancher, butcher, or chef you can participate in the promotion and choose high or low levels of engagement! Sign up in March and we'll give you access to all the promotional tools you need. Once you're in, you can download all of our done-for-you, fill-in-the-blank, social media posts and newsletter templates that are easy to customize for your brand and share with your customers and followers.

 

As an eater and advocate during the promotion, you can champion your favorite grassfed brands, share posts with your networks and buy grassfed meat from your local farmer, butcher, or retailer. The best part is, by participating and spreading the word about 100% grassfed meat, you can enter the sweepstakes to win a really awesome grill.

Our Promotional Content Themes

  • It's Bigger Than Us

    Humans are just one part of the equation. Working cooperatively with livestock and the environment helps us see the big picture, manage and monitor our environmental impact and measure the real benefits of grassfed systems.

  • We're All Connected

    None of us works alone and without one another we may not be able to thrive. This content theme focuses on farmer, butcher, chef-specific, connections, community and regional impact.

  • The Taste of Place

    Flavor is more than taste, it’s about connection and story. This content theme communicates pride in local flavor, nutrition, animal welfare and cooking methods. 

Our Participants

Participants in this promotion come from every state in the country and manage a diverse array of species, production practices, and marketing styles, but the ONE thing they all have in common is, they all sell directly to local consumers. Although this trade promotion highlights beef, providers of any other 100% grassfed meat product are welcome to participate.

What We Provide to Participants

    We provide a media kit that includes instructions and customizable press release and media pitch templates for participants to share with local media outlets. 
     

  • Promotion Playbook

    This is the most important document of the promotion! The Playbook will give you the what, when and how-to for making your way through the trade promotion, successfully. 
     

  • Content Guide

    A comprehensive guide that includes all the done-for-you customizable content, links to all the digital graphics, the promotional calendar and special tips for posting and sharing content throughout the promotion. 
     

  • Visuals

    Photos, infographics and other visuals that participants could post during the promotion. 

  • Design Assets

    Fonts, logos, color schemes, and other assets participants could use during the promotion. 

Our Supporters

New to the campaign in 2025, supporters get the chance to promote the Real Burger of Earth Day from an advocate lens. If you're an avid grassfed meat eater, agriculture organization, or butcher shop, farmer, or restaurant that doesn't have the time or resources to participate fully - this is for you! We'll have stickers and postcards available for you to share with friends and customers alike. Join the promotion and have fun sharing the 100% grassfed meat love!

Being a supporter allows you to:

Measuring Success

We always want to make sure that our trade promotions have a positive impact on our participants. For this reason, we survey participants before and after so that we can measure customer and sales growth, as well as the amount of time and resources participants expended or saved during the promotion. We continue to revise and rethink our promotions based on community feedback.
